The Challenge

In April 2021, Menston Parish Council reached out to us for a website revamp. Their existing site had grown outdated, posing challenges in terms of updates and maintenance.

Inspired by our successful collaboration with East Hagbourne Parish Council, one of Menston’s village councilors sought a similar cutting-edge solution for their community.

The Solution

After conducting a series of virtual meetings with the Parish Council committee through Zoom, we meticulously outlined the project’s requirements. This comprehensive list encompassed crucial decisions such as selecting the most fitting platform, defining design and branding specifications, and outlining both functional and technical requirements.

Collaborating closely with Pete Borlace for the design phase, we engaged in discussions with the client to shape visual elements and guide branding decisions.

To ensure seamless content management and updates, we strategically opted for WordPress as the platform for the website. Leveraging our expertise, we crafted a custom theme tailored to the unique needs of Menston Parish Council, aligning with our proven approach utilized for various other successful Parish Council clients.

The functional requirements mirrored several key features from our past Parish Council projects, encompassing:

• News and Events
• Local Business Directory
• Contact Forms

Additionally, post-launch, we collaborated with Menston Parish Council to develop a survey, facilitating data collection for their Neighbourhood Plan. This enhancement further demonstrates our commitment to providing dynamic and tailored solutions to meet evolving needs.
